Recently, I was contacted by Geoff Harris, Deputy Editor for an interview with Amateur Photographer magazine. He asked if I would be willing to talk about how I, as a professional landscape photographer, who runs workshops and tours, is coping during this current global pandemic.
As photographers, most of us will face at some point in our lives a moral dilemma. To shoot or not to shoot. My story below details the struggle that I had with my moral compass as to whether to photograph the flood-stricken county of Cumbria only days after they suffered their worst floods to date.
In an attempt to offer some light relief during these very difficult times, professional UK landscape workshop photographer Melvin Nicholson and fellow professional photographer Tony Higginson decided to create a light-hearted, in-depth question and answer video on a range of landscape photography related questions posed by their Facebook group followers.
In November 2019 I was contacted by the Deputy Editor of Amateur Photographer, Geoff Harris and asked if I would like to be involved in providing content for an article entitled ‘Great Shots Whatever The Weather’ to be published at the end of January 2020. I was delighted to assist. My Fogbow image made it into the article too.
HELLO and welcome to my Top Ten Images of 2019 and a brief explanation of the images and why I took them. This year, I have found the whole process of trying to decide which ten images make my top ten list so incredibly difficult for a range of reasons.
In this article I review the Topaz Denoise noise reduction software & compare photos with this, denoise AI and no noise reduction applied with amazing results.
WOW, what a response I received from over 250 of you who, when asked to decide which twelve images should grace my A3 2020 Calendar, stepped forward and voted in droves.
