Nature’s Torchlight, Buttermere, Lake District

Captured one morning back in October 2015 during a private tuition day with a regular couple of clients of mine and I decided to take them to Buttermere for sunrise. Things did not look all too promising with the absence of any real colour but two hours after sunrise, these unbelievable sun rays suddenly appeared and lit up the Scots Pines trees in the most amazing way. The best I have ever seen Buttermere look and the rays really were this visible. This image received a ‘Commended’ award in the UK’s most prestigious landscape photography competition, the 2017/18 Take-a-View Landscape Photographer of the Year competition as well as being included in their exhibition which is touring nationally and also their 2017/18 printed book.

Printing

• All A2 and A3 prints are professionally printed by me using an A2 Epson SC-P800 professional printer and genuine Epson UltraChrome HD inks
• A 10mm border to assist easy mounting or framing
• My signature and date of purchase is written on the rear of the print
