Long Exposure Photography Workshop, Crosby & Perch Rock

Saturday 31st Aug 2019 6 PLACES LEFT

Come and join me as we spend the day shooting some wonderful long exposure images. I have chosen three fantastic locations at Crosby Beach, Perch Rock Lighthouse and the sea defences also at New Brighton. All three locations present amazing opportunities to capture some stunning long exposure images, both in colour and black and white.

We will start the day at Crosby Beach to capture Antony Gormley’s iconic and hugely popular life size statues on the beach as well as the photogenic outflow pipe. We will arrive on location at 9am, three and a half hours before high tide (high tide is 9.7m at 12.30pm) to allow you to visualise and set up some great compositions. The tide comes in quickly due to the flat beach so the outflow pipe will be ready to photograph by 10.30am.

At 11am, we will then leave for Perch Rock Lighthouse at (30 minute drive through the tunnel) giving you 90 minutes to photograph the many different subjects in and around the lighthouse followed by heading down to the sea defences at 1.15pm ready for the tide to recede and unveil the concrete defences.  There will be ample opportunities to use my range of Kase filters including their 3, 6 stop and 10 stop filters should you want to try to capture some long exposure images. Tuition on the use of filters is included.

All in all, there is something for everyone on this very popular one day workshop. Places are limited to eight and free return transport in my car is available from Preston if required (max four seats available).
