Derwentwater, Aira Force & Ullswater, Lake District Photography Workshop

Saturday 7th March 2020 JUST ANNOUNCED

Come and join me as we spend the day capturing Derwentwater, Aura Force Waterfall and Ullswater in all its glory. Both lakes offer the landscape photographer endless possibilities to capture some stunning images while the iconic waterfall of Aira Force should be in spate during the early spring month of March. I offer dedicated 1-2-1 tuition and advice.

We will start the day at 8am and spend the morning at Derwentwater photographing the passenger boats, wooden jetties, Friar’s Cragg and Crow Park along with the iconic Ashness Landing Pier, followed by lunch then the afternoon at Aira Force Waterfall, Glenridding and Pooley Bridge at Ullswater where partially wooden tree stumps and boathouses will feature.

I have spent thirteen years photographing Derwentwater and Ullswater and the surrounding areas and it always remains one of my favourite places in the Lakes to photograph. The weather, water levels of the lakes and direction of the sun will dictate the exact schedule, but you can be rest assured of a great day’s photography. There will be plenty of chances to practice your long exposure techniques if you wish. There will be ample opportunities to use my range of Kase filters including their 3, 6 stop, stop and 10 stop filters should you want to try to capture some long exposure images. Tuition on the use of filters is included.

On this landscape photography workshop, there is something for everyone on this very popular one day workshop. Free return transport is available from Preston in my Volvo XC60 if required (max three seats available).
