Assynt and Inverpolly are two areas quite unlike anywhere else in Scotland. This western side of Scotland has nestled within it some of the finest mountains in the UK. The mighty peaks of Suilven, Cùl Mòr and the most famous mountain in the area, Stac Pollaidh all take centre stage and shine in the wonderful Scottish light. Stac Pollaidh in particular has a wonderful shape to it which dramatically changes as you view it from different directions but all three mountains offer themselves individually as they are located in their own space making them hugely photogenic within the landscape.
We will also get to visit some of the finest beaches in Scotland. Clactoll, Achmelvic and Achnahaird provide endless opportunities to photograph the jagged and dramatic rocks present as well as enjoy the stretches of golden sand. One thing that Assynt and Inverpolly is known for is its B roads which allow us nearby access to some wonderful lochs too, such as Loch Lurgainn and Loch Druin Suardalain.
