New Zealand for a lot of people is number one on their bucket list of destinations to visit with a camera and having myself travelled there twice previously, the first time in 2003 as a young, free and single adventurous backpacker and again as a wannabe landscape photographer in 2008, I was desperate to return and ten years later I did.

March always seems to come around more and more quickly with each year that passes but with it arrives the UK’s biggest photography show, The Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham. Once again and for the second year running I was invited to present a talk on the Fotospeed stand (fine quality ink and papers). I immediately accepted.

WELCOME to my Top Ten Images of 2017 and a brief review of the year. AMAZING is the only word that I can use to describe 2017. My workshops have grown from strength to strength with more people joining me for some memorable trips including a couple of new international ones such as Iceland (twice this year) and Ireland back in September.

A Scottish Winter Wonderland – Shooting Snow Scenes Video

I was driving through Bun Loyne, a rather lovely part of the Scottish Highlands, especially during a wintery snowy period and I felt compelled to pull over and spend a couple of hours photographing the gorgeous views. I decided to create a video showing you what I was enjoying shooting and to explain a little about how I went about capturing the images I did.
